The Shimano 105 R7170 Di2 2×12 road groupset brings electronic shifting and hydraulic disc braking to club rides, sportives and everyday adventures. With a choice of chainring combinations and cassette ranges, you can build a setup that feels comfortable on familiar roads and gives you lower gears for hillier days.
Moving to electronic shifting can give a familiar bike a fresh feel. The Bike Lab can help you work out what’s worth keeping and where a change will make a difference, with personal advice throughout your upgrade. Every order supports an independent bicycle business built around keeping good bikes riding well.
Built for the road
Di2 delivers precise, repeatable gear changes at the touch of a button. The shifters communicate wirelessly with the rear derailleur, while both derailleurs connect to an internal rechargeable battery. This keeps gear cables out of the cockpit while providing a shared power supply for the drivetrain.
Automatic front-derailleur trim helps reduce chain rub as you move through the cassette. Shimano’s E-TUBE PROJECT Cyclist app lets you personalise compatible button functions and choose manual, semi-synchronised or synchronised shifting.
Adjustable lever reach helps you find a comfortable hand position, while Shimano 105 hydraulic disc brakes provide controlled braking on descents and in changing conditions.

FAQ
How long does a Gold Service take?
As this is a full strip down and rebuild, it usually takes slightly longer than our other services. Most Gold services are completed within 1 to 2 weeks depending on workload and any additional parts required.
Is this service suitable for older bikes?
Yes. Older bikes often benefit the most from a full strip down, especially if they have not had a thorough service in some time.
Will parts be replaced automatically?
No. We will always contact you before replacing any worn or damaged parts. No additional work is carried out without your approval.
What is the difference between Silver and Gold?
The Gold Service includes a full strip down and rebuild, along with headset and bottom bracket removal and re-greasing. Silver focuses more on adjustment, wheel truing, and drivetrain cleaning.
How often should I book a Gold Service?
For regularly ridden bikes, once a year is a good guideline. If you ride in harsh conditions or high mileage, you may benefit from it more frequently.
