FAQ
Why does the Platinum Service cost more?
Platinum is designed for more complex bikes such as integrated cable road bikes, TT bikes with integrated cockpits, or mountain bikes requiring pivot bearing work. These setups take significantly more time to strip down and rebuild, which is why there is an additional charge.
Is this service necessary for integrated cable bikes?
Yes. Integrated systems require more labour to access bearings, cables, and components properly. The Platinum Service ensures everything is removed, serviced, and reinstalled correctly.
Do you replace pivot bearings on mountain bikes?
Yes. If your mountain bike requires pivot bearing replacement, this can be carried out as part of the service. We will always confirm any additional parts needed before proceeding.
Will my bike need new parts?
Not necessarily. All components are inspected, cleaned, and re-greased where possible. If anything needs replacing, we will contact you first for approval.
How often should I book a Gold Service?
For regularly ridden bikes, once a year is a good guideline. If you ride in harsh conditions or high mileage, you may benefit from it more frequently.
