Brake adjustment ensures your braking system is correctly aligned, responsive and safe. Over time, brake cables can stretch, pads can wear down, and calipers can move slightly out of position, leading to reduced stopping power, rubbing, or uneven braking. We carefully adjust cable tension, centre the calipers, and align the brake pads to make sure both front and rear brakes engage smoothly and evenly. Properly adjusted brakes improve safety, reduce component wear, and give you confident, controlled stopping in all conditions. This service is ideal for riders experiencing squeaking, rubbing, weak braking performance, or after new pads or cables have been fitted. We provide professional brake adjustment in Redhill and across Surrey and Sussex, helping local cyclists ride safely all year round.

FAQ
How long does a Gold Service take?
As this is a full strip down and rebuild, it usually takes slightly longer than our other services. Most Gold services are completed within 1 to 2 weeks depending on workload and any additional parts required.
Is this service suitable for older bikes?
Yes. Older bikes often benefit the most from a full strip down, especially if they have not had a thorough service in some time.
Will parts be replaced automatically?
No. We will always contact you before replacing any worn or damaged parts. No additional work is carried out without your approval.
What is the difference between Silver and Gold?
The Gold Service includes a full strip down and rebuild, along with headset and bottom bracket removal and re-greasing. Silver focuses more on adjustment, wheel truing, and drivetrain cleaning.
How often should I book a Gold Service?
For regularly ridden bikes, once a year is a good guideline. If you ride in harsh conditions or high mileage, you may benefit from it more frequently.
